Egypt's Foreign Minister meets top students, stresses youth’s national role

Dr. Badr Abdel Aaty, Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Affairs of Egyptians Abroad, welcomed a group of the nation’s top high school graduates from across Egypt on Saturday, September 6, 2025. The meeting, held in cooperation with Al-Gomhuria newspaper, follows the students’ return from an annual educational trip organized for outstanding students.

The event reflects the Foreign Ministry’s ongoing commitment to engaging with Egypt’s youth and motivating high-achieving students, recognizing their pivotal role in Egypt’s future. Minister Abdel Aaty praised the longstanding national contribution of Al-Gomhuria newspaper and fondly recalled his own participation as an exemplary student in the same program in 1983.

During the gathering, the Minister described the students as a national treasure and the hope of Egypt’s continued progress. He highlighted the Ministry’s efforts to include youth in discussions on Egypt’s foreign policy and the challenges the nation faces, both regionally and globally. The Minister also emphasized Egypt’s remarkable achievements across multiple fields over the past decade under the leadership of the President.

Minister Abdel Aaty provided the students with insights into Egypt’s foreign policy priorities, with a focus on regional developments—particularly the situation in Gaza and Egypt’s support for the Palestinian cause.

The meeting included an open dialogue, where the Minister listened to the students’ ideas and suggestions. He reaffirmed the Ministry’s dedication to keeping young people involved and aware of Egypt’s active role both regionally and internationally, while instilling the values of national belonging and responsibility in the next generation.
