The United States affirmed its commitment to supporting the growth of Cairo International Airport as American firms showcased their technical expertise and innovative solutions in anticipation of the expansion of Terminal 4.
At a recent event in Cairo, U.S. Ambassador to Egypt, Herro Mustafa Garg, joined Egypt’s Minister of Civil Aviation, Sameh Hefny, and the CEO of the Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation, Ayman Arab, to highlight the capabilities of leading American companies.
These firms presented advanced products and services tailored to enhance the planned development of one of Egypt’s busiest international gateways.
“American companies have long been at the forefront of airport innovation worldwide," Ambassador Mustafa Garg declared in a statement released by the U.S. Embassy in Cairo.
“From professional project management and expert consulting to the integration of advanced screening technologies and the construction of modern automated operating systems, U.S. companies play a vital role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of airports globally.”
During the event, three U.S. firms unveiled solutions designed to support the expansion of Terminal 4, with a focus on state-of-the-art safety and security technologies. The embassy emphasized that these companies are global leaders in their fields. They are seeking to collaborate with Egypt's Ministry of Civil Aviation and Civil Aviation Authority to deploy advanced equipment and expertise. This collaboration aims to position Egypt as both a popular tourist destination and a strategic aviation hub linking Europe, Africa, Asia, and North America.
