Egypt condemns Israeli military attacks on Iran, calls for restraint and political solutions
Egypt strongly condemns the military strikes carried out by the Israeli army against the Islamic Republic of Iran in the early hours of Thursday, June 13, 2025.
Egypt considers these actions a grave and dangerous escalation in the region, a blatant violation of international law and the Charter of the United Nations, and a direct threat to both regional and international peace and security.
Egypt is following the rapid developments in the region with deep concern. The government expresses its firm rejection of actions that could further inflame tensions, potentially leading to a broader conflict with unprecedented consequences for the security and stability of the Middle East.
Egypt warns that such escalations put the well-being and future of the region’s peoples at severe risk and could push the entire region into chaos.
Reaffirming its consistent stance, Egypt stresses that there are no military solutions to the crises faced by the region.
Sustainable peace and security, Egypt maintains, can only be achieved through political and peaceful means. The use of force, Egypt notes, will not bring security or stability to any country, including Israel. The government calls for respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all states, for the pursuit of justice, and for an end to the Israeli occupation of Arab territories.
Egypt urges all parties to exercise maximum restraint and to work towards de-escalation and a political resolution to ensure the safety and prosperity of all peoples in the region.
