London Summit honors Egypt's Finance Minister

London—Egypt’s Ahmed Kouchouk has been honored as Africa’s Finance Minister of the Year 2025 at the Africa Summit in London, in recognition of his outstanding leadership in promoting economic reform and stability. The prestigious award, presented by *African Leadership* magazine after a global survey, celebrates Kouchouk’s crucial role in supporting Egypt’s ambitious economic transformation and his influence across the continent.

Accepting the award, Kouchouk expressed gratitude to his colleagues at the Ministry of Finance for their dedication and teamwork, emphasizing the collective drive toward impactful reforms and the strengthening of Egypt’s private sector and exports. He highlighted strong indicators of Egypt’s economic stability, which continue to inspire fresh confidence among domestic and international investors.

Kouchouk emphasized that Africa faces complex challenges which require genuine reforms and robust regional cooperation. “No African nation can progress alone. Our future rests on deepening economic and investment partnerships—both in government and the private sector—across the continent,” he said.

The event, attended by African finance ministers and prominent global figures, marked a proud moment for Egypt and underscored the importance of innovative, collaborative leadership in Africa’s ongoing journey toward inclusive growth and competitiveness.
