President Sisi honors Police Graduates, calls for unity and peace efforts on Gaza

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt attended the graduation ceremony for the 2025 class at the prestigious Police Academy in Cairo today, underscoring themes of national unity, security, and regional peace.

Upon arrival, President Sisi was warmly welcomed by Interior Minister Mahmoud Tawfiq and Academy officials, before greeting families of the graduates and attending a dynamic presentation of physical and military skills by the new officers.

In his keynote speech, President Sisi congratulated the Police Academy on its 50th anniversary and commended the graduates, emphasizing their vital role in safeguarding Egypt's security and stability. He awarded honors to top students, including international cadets, reflecting Egypt’s commitment to training leaders from across the region.

Addressing the nation, President Sisi reassured Egyptians of the country’s internal stability despite regional challenges, expressing confidence in the resilience of Egypt’s security forces and unity of its people. He noted ongoing improvements in the national economy and highlighted the crucial role of youth in shaping Egypt's future.

Turning to regional affairs, President Sisi spoke against the backdrop of the ongoing conflict in Gaza. He affirmed Egypt's sustained efforts to mediate peace and facilitate humanitarian aid, and revealed that international negotiations, involving delegations from the United States—sent by President Donald Trump—alongside Egyptian, Qatari, Israeli, and Palestinian officials, are currently underway in Sharm El-Sheikh to seek an end to the war.

President Sisi extended gratitude to President Trump for his commitment to peace and invited further international collaboration, expressing hope that an agreement could soon lead to reconstruction, humanitarian relief, and a return to stability for residents of Gaza and the West Bank.

Sisi closed his remarks with heartfelt appreciation to Egyptian families for their sacrifices, and to all citizens for their continued unity and strength. “The future will be brighter,” he said, “and no harm can come to Egypt as long as its people stand together.”

The event concluded with patriotic music and a breakfast gathering with senior officials, where President Sisi discussed both domestic developments and regional issues in a spirit of optimism and solidarity.
