Iranian President joins mass protests in Tehran against US strikes

Tehran – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian took part in large-scale demonstrations in Tehran’s Revolution Square on Sunday, as thousands gathered to protest recent US airstrikes on the country.

According to Iranian state media, the demonstrations drew crowds from a wide cross-section of society, including students and members of the general public, united in condemning the US military action against Iran.

The protests were sparked by American strikes carried out overnight on three of Iran’s nuclear facilities: Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. US President Donald Trump previously announced these attacks, describing them as a response to ongoing tensions between the two countries.

As demonstrators filled the streets, President Pezeshkian addressed the gathering, reiterating Iran’s opposition to foreign intervention and calling for solidarity among Iranians. Protesters held banners and chanted slogans criticizing the actions of the United States, demanding an end to what they called “aggression” against their country.

The incident has drawn international attention and raised concerns about escalating tensions in the region.
