Turkish Naval Ship visits Egypt to boost military cooperation
As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen military cooperation, Egypt’s Alexandria Naval Base welcomed the Turkish warship TCG SANCAKTAR (L-403), carrying faculty and students from the Turkish Naval Academy.
During the visit, Rear Admiral Mahmoud Adel Fawzi, Commander of the Egyptian Navy, met with Professor Kemaleddin Sahin, Dean of the Turkish Naval Academy, and the accompanying delegation. Both sides expressed their appreciation for the visit, highlighting the importance of enhancing collaboration in military training and the exchange of expertise between Egyptian and Turkish naval cadets.
Professor Sahin expressed his gratitude to the Egyptian Navy, noting that the visit offers invaluable experience and skill development for Turkish naval officers and students.
In addition to their naval program, the Turkish delegation also visited key cultural landmarks, including the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Qaitbay Citadel, the Pyramids of Giza, and the Grand Egyptian Museum.
