Egypt launches international digital campaign to spotlight yacht tourism
The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has unveiled a global digital campaign, “Sail to Egypt,” aiming to position the country as a premier destination for luxury yacht tourism.
This initiative, led by the Egyptian Tourism Authority, will roll out across some of the world’s most popular digital platforms—including Instagram, YouTube, and Google—inviting international travelers to discover Egypt’s unparalleled yachting experiences.
Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Mr. Sherif Fathy, highlighted that this campaign aligns with the Ministry’s ongoing strategy: “Egypt… Diversity Unmatched,” which seeks to showcase the breadth of Egypt’s tourism attractions and unique travel experiences.
“With its extensive coastlines along the Red Sea and the Mediterranean, state-of-the-art marinas, breathtaking natural scenery, and idyllic beaches, Egypt offers an ideal and competitively attractive setting for yachting enthusiasts from around the world,” Minister Fathy stated.
The campaign will feature creative content and compelling promotional materials spotlighting Egypt’s vibrant maritime tourism scene.
Mr. Ahmed Youssef, Acting CEO of the Egyptian Tourism Authority, explained that the campaign will showcase modern marinas, enchanting resort islands, lively coastal cities, and a variety of activities awaiting visitors. “We are especially reaching out to high-spending travelers seeking exceptional, luxurious journeys,” he added.
He noted that the campaign will run for two months and will also appear in leading international yachting publications, including a prominent feature in the September issue of “Super Yacht” magazine.
The campaign will engage boating enthusiasts through social media, targeted online searches, and editorial coverage in specialized magazines.
This latest initiative builds on Egypt’s ongoing efforts to develop its yacht tourism sector, having recently participated in renowned international industry events such as the Boot Düsseldorf trade fair in Germany and the Monaco Yacht Show.
Through “Sail to Egypt,” the Ministry invites visitors from across the globe to discover Egypt’s unparalleled beauty and make unforgettable memories along its stunning coasts.
