Egypt hosts first annual conference for heads of its diplomatic missions abroad
Egypt’s Foreign Minister, Dr. Badr Abdel Aaty, has inaugurated the country’s first annual conference for heads of Egyptian diplomatic missions overseas, today. The event brought together Egyptian ambassadors from around the world as well as senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigration.
The conference aims to reinforce Egypt’s foreign policy priorities, review the work of embassies and consulates, and discuss ways to upgrade consular services and support Egyptian communities abroad.
In his opening address, Minister Abdel Aaty emphasized the vital role Egyptian diplomacy plays in safeguarding national interests, attracting foreign investment, boosting trade, and promoting Egypt’s rich cultural heritage globally. He highlighted recent government initiatives to improve the investment climate and expand markets for Egyptian exports.
The minister also underscored the government’s commitment to care for Egyptians overseas, including improving digital consular services and regularly engaging with Egyptian communities. The conference featured interactive discussions on how Egypt’s diplomats can adapt their work to address the challenges of today’s regional and global climate, while promoting Egypt’s economic opportunities and cultural strengths on the world stage.
