Egypt on Friday condemned what it called “blatant Iranian attacks” on the United Arab Emirates that left several people wounded, the foreign ministry said in a statement.
Egypt said the repeated assaults amounted to “a flagrant violation of the UAE’s sovereignty” and a breach of international law and the UN Charter.
The ministry warned that the attacks posed “a direct threat to regional security and stability” and represented an “unacceptable escalation” undermining efforts to reduce tensions.
Cairo affirmed its “full solidarity” with the UAE and said it supported all measures taken by Abu Dhabi to safeguard its security and stability.
