Trump thanks Arab, Muslim nations for supporting Gaza’s rebuilding

TEL AVIV (News Wires) - US President Donald Trump expressed gratitude to Arab and Muslim nations for their support in the secure reconstruction of Gaza during a speech at the Israeli parliament on Monday.

He highlighted that the ceasefire he helped facilitate in the Gaza conflict had marked the beginning of a “historic dawn of a new Middle East.”

“After so many years marked by unrelenting war and constant peril, today the skies are quiet, the weapons are at rest, the sirens have fallen silent, and the sun rises over a holy land finally experiencing peace—a land and a region, God willing, destined to enjoy lasting tranquility,” Trump said.

“This isn’t merely the conclusion of a war. It is truly the historic dawn of a new Middle East.”

Trump also extended his “tremendous appreciation" to all Arab and Muslim countries that joined forces to urge Hamas to release hostages and ensure their safe return home.

“We received a great deal of support—more than many would expect—and I am deeply thankful for that,” he remarked. “To see all these nations collaborating as partners for peace is an extraordinary victory for Israel and for the world.”

Trump’s address was briefly disrupted when a left-wing member of parliament was ejected from the chamber.

“That was very efficient,” Trump joked as the lawmaker was swiftly escorted out.

The US president had paused as a Knesset staff member audibly ordered the removal of Ofer Cassif, following what appeared to be a protest.
