Egypt partners with London’s Bayes Business School to train future insurance leaders

London — The Egyptian Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) and Bayes Business School, City, University of London, have entered into a landmark partnership designed to boost the competitiveness and future-readiness of Egypt’s insurance sector. The signing ceremony for this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) took place at the Egyptian Embassy in London, attended by Dr. Mohamed Farid, Chairman of the FRA, and Egypt’s Ambassador to the UK, Sherif Kamel, alongside senior officials from both institutions.

The agreement brings together the training arm of the Egyptian Financial Regulatory Authority, the Financial Services Institute (FSI), and Bayes Business School — internationally recognized for its expertise in executive leadership and financial education. Under this collaboration, tailored executive leadership programs will be delivered bi-annually in London. Each cohort will benefit from the support and mentorship of world-class academics and industry practitioners specializing in digital leadership and strategic management.

The curriculum is carefully designed to address contemporary challenges, such as institutional leadership in a fast-changing technological landscape, fostering strategic thinking in the digital era, and creating resilient, innovative business models for the insurance market. Furthermore, participants will gain direct exposure to international best practices through field visits, including an immersive experience at Lloyd’s of London, the world’s leading insurance market.

Dr. Mohamed Farid, Chairman of the FRA, expressed that “this partnership underscores our unwavering commitment to developing Egypt’s human capital. By equipping future generations of professional leaders with international expertise and perspectives, we are strengthening the sustainability and dynamism of Egypt’s non-banking financial sector—ultimately supporting greater economic resilience and increased rates of national savings.”

Mark Carbery, Director of Executive Leadership Training at Bayes Business School, highlighted the significance of the partnership, saying, “We are honored to work alongside the Financial Services Institute in Egypt. Together, we aim to enrich the skills of Egyptian insurance leaders, drawing on Bayes’ deep global experience and the Institute’s profound local knowledge. We look forward to the positive developments this collaboration will bring to Egypt’s insurance industry and to building further joint programs in the future.”

Discussions with senior leaders from both organizations will continue to shape additional areas of cooperation, ranging from actuarial studies to financial literacy initiatives. The partnership reflects a shared vision of empowering professionals to design policies, drive innovation, and foster inclusive economic growth that will benefit Egypt and the wider region.
