Polish-Egyptian partnership builds major furniture factory in New Alamein

The Polish Ambassador to Egypt, Michał Murkociński, recently visited the site of what will become the largest Polish direct investment in Egypt: a state-of-the-art furniture and components production facility under construction in the New Alamein industrial zone.

This ambitious project, driven by leading Polish company PADMA and its Egyptian subsidiary Yada Egypt, is being developed in partnership with notable Egyptian general contractor ROWAD Modern Engineering. The factory aims to supply high-quality furniture and components to markets across the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas.

Spanning an impressive 400,000 square meters, the facility will include advanced production and administrative buildings, as well as a dedicated solar farm supporting sustainable energy use. The initial investment is valued at €70 million, and resulting exports are projected to reach up to €200 million in the coming years. Importantly, the company is committed to leveraging Egyptian production components, boosting local industry and job creation.

The project was presented to Ambassador Murkociński by Dariusz Krupa, Chairman of the Board of PADMA, Vice Chairman Jarosław Dariusz Burkiet, Ahmed Magdy, head of Yada Egypt, and Mohamed Mahlab, CEO of ROWAD Modern Engineering, who showcased the progress being made on site.

Construction of this innovative facility is expected to be completed by mid-2026, marking a new chapter in Polish-Egyptian economic cooperation and fostering international trade links for both nations.
