Ambassador of Japan and Cairo Governor discuss ongoing development projects
Ambassador of Japan Iwai Fumio paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Ibrahim Saber, the Governor of Cairo.
The two officials discussed ongoing development cooperation projects within Cairo Governorate and exchanged views on strengthening cooperation between Cairo and Tokyo. Notably, Cairo and Tokyo are bound by a unique sister-city relationship—the only such twinning between cities in Egypt and Japan.
During the meeting, Governor Saber expressed his deep appreciation for Japan’s contributions to Cairo’s development, emphasizing the significance of Japanese-supported initiatives in advancing the governorate’s progress.
Japan continues to undertake development efforts in several regions across Egypt, highlighting its ongoing commitment to supporting local growth and international partnership.
