Egypt’s President Sisi urges President Trump to end Gaza war
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has made a heartfelt appeal to U.S. President Donald Trump, calling for urgent action to end the ongoing war in Gaza and allow critical humanitarian aid into the territory.
Speaking on Monday, President Sisi emphasized Egypt’s continued efforts with international partners to deliver food, medical, and essential supplies to Palestinians in Gaza, describing the situation there as “unbearable” after months of conflict. “We must bring in the largest possible amount of aid to relieve the crisis,” he said.
President Sisi also assured the Egyptian people of Egypt’s unwavering commitment to a just and honorable stance toward the Palestinian people, affirming that this position “will never change.” He called on the European Union, the United States, and regional partners to intensify their efforts, insisting that no opportunity should be missed to end the war and alleviate suffering.
He issued a special plea to President Trump, expressing his personal respect for the American leader and belief in his ability to play a crucial role in resolving the crisis.
Aid organizations have continued to warn that humanitarian access remains essential, as residents in Gaza face deepening hardship.
