President Sisi leads national ‘Homeland of Peace’ event honoring October War anniversary

In a grand national event titled “Homeland of Peace,” President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi attended a special celebration at the City of Arts and Culture in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital, commemorating the 52nd anniversary of the historic October 6 victories.

According to Egypt’s Presidential Spokesperson, President Sisi began the evening by signing a “Message of Peace from Egypt to the World,” symbolizing Egypt’s ongoing commitment to peace as a foundational principle of its domestic and international policies. The milestone event launched with religious recitations and a keynote speech about the importance of peace.

The festivities featured a range of artistic and cultural performances, focusing on themes such as peace, ending conflict in Gaza, and recognizing the enduring resilience and sacrifices of the Sinai people. The program included recorded messages from prominent Egyptian figures in areas such as religion, medicine, archaeology, history, media, arts, and sports. Attendees also viewed documentaries titled “Guardians of the Sands,” “Egypt: The Road Back,” and “Insight of a Leader.”

In his closing remarks, President Sisi expressed deep appreciation for all contributors, especially Egyptian artists, and underscored the event’s important messages. He called on schools, universities, and public institutions to organize visits to Sinai, emphasizing the value of national memory and unity.

President Sisi also expressed gratitude for the recent cessation of hostilities in Gaza, acknowledging the suffering endured by the Palestinian people, and highlighting Egypt’s successful diplomatic efforts, including hosting the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit. Reflecting on the meaning of victory, he stated, “Victory does not come through military force alone, but first and foremost through the spirit and will of the people.” He stressed the nation’s commitment to justice and respect for the rights of others.

The celebration was attended by a large assembly of senior officials, ministers, and representatives from diverse sectors of Egyptian society, reflecting both the national significance and the international message of peace sent from Egypt to the world.
