King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain have concluded a remarkable royal visit to Luxor, Egypt, immersing themselves in the timeless wonders of the ancient city. Accompanied by Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Sherif Fathy, the royals explored a host of iconic archaeological sites that highlight Egypt’s extraordinary cultural heritage.
Their tour included a visit to the breathtaking Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir El-Bahari, where they witnessed ongoing conservation efforts and the awe-inspiring architecture of Egypt’s legendary female pharaoh. Venturing further, King Felipe and Queen Letizia toured the famed Valley of the Kings, descending into several royal tombs, including that of Ramses V—a poignant reminder of Egypt’s ancient dynastic legacy.
