Egypt’s PM forms special crisis committee to monitor regional military developments

Egypt’s Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, has announced the formation of a special “Crisis Committee” to monitor and respond to the repercussions of the ongoing military operations between Iran and Israel. 


The Prime Minister will chair this committee, which is tasked with ensuring that all sectors are prepared for any potential developments.


According to a statement from Cabinet spokesperson, Mohamed Al-Homsani, the Crisis Committee includes the Central Bank Governor; Ministers of Industry, Planning and Economic Development and International Cooperation, Electricity and Renewable Energy, Finance, Supply and Internal Trade, Petroleum and Mineral Resources; as well as representatives from the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Interior, the General Intelligence Service, and the Administrative Control Authority.


The statement emphasized that the Prime Minister will meet regularly with the members of this committee. He is also increasing meetings with various advisory groups to discuss the latest events and their possible impacts on different sectors within Egypt.


This move comes as part of Egypt’s efforts to stay prepared and responsive to regional uncertainties, with a focus on maintaining stability and supporting all citizens during this dynamic period.
