Armenia honors former Egyptian ambassador

In recognition of her significant contributions to developing and strengthening relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Arab Republic of Egypt, former Egyptian Ambassador to Armenia, Mrs. Serenade Gamil, has been awarded the Second Degree Medal of Honor by Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The decision was issued by Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.


On behalf of the Foreign Minister, Armenian Ambassador to Egypt, H.E. Armen Sargsyan, presented the distinguished medal to Mrs. Gamil during an official ceremony held at the Armenian Embassy in Cairo today.


In heartfelt remarks following the ceremony, Mrs. Gamil reflected on her diplomatic mission in Armenia. She highlighted various initiatives undertaken during her tenure and spoke warmly and respectfully about the Armenian government and people, expressing sincere gratitude for the honor and for being recognized with the national award.


Ambassador Sargsyan, in turn, expressed his appreciation to Mrs. Gamil for her diligent efforts in deepening Armenian-Egyptian cooperation. He emphasized the importance of maintaining active dialogue and personal ties, which continue to form the foundation of the strong relationship between the two nations.


This occasion marks a celebration of enduring friendship and partnership between Armenia and Egypt, exemplified by a mutual commitment to diplomatic cooperation and cultural exchange.
