Austrian FM praises Egypt’s efforts supporting war-affected regions, especially Gaza
CAIRO—Austria’s Foreign Minister, Ms. Beate Meinl-Reisinger, has expressed deep appreciation for Egypt's significant efforts in supporting countries affected by conflicts, with a special focus on the ongoing humanitarian situation in Gaza.
Minister Meinl-Reisinger commended both the Egyptian government and the Egyptian Red Crescent for their commitment to stability and their leading role in delivering aid to vulnerable communities.
Her remarks came during a visit to the Egyptian Red Crescent’s headquarters in Cairo, where she was accompanied by Austria’s Ambassador to Egypt, Dr. Georg Pöstinger, and an official delegation.
The visitors were welcomed by Dr. Adel El-Adawy, former Minister of Health and member of the Egyptian Red Crescent’s board, along with Dr. Amal Imam, Executive Director of the organization.
The Austrian delegation was briefed on the breadth of humanitarian and relief activities carried out by the Egyptian Red Crescent, especially their unwavering support for people in Gaza amid ongoing hostilities.
Minister Meinl-Reisinger emphasized her support for Egypt’s calls to ensure humanitarian aid can reach Gaza and praised the country’s ongoing efforts for peace and stability in the region.
