Gambian First Lady visits Luxor to support cancer patients and boost healthcare cooperation
Luxor, Egypt – In a gesture of solidarity and humanitarian support, Her Excellency Mrs. Fatoumata Bah Barrow, First Lady of The Gambia, visited Luxor on Sunday.
Welcomed by Luxor Governor Engineer Abdel Muttalib Amara at Luxor International Airport, Mrs. Bah Barrow’s trip is dedicated to supporting cancer patients in Upper Egypt and strengthening public health ties between African countries.
The visit includes a tour of Shefa Al-Orman Cancer Hospital, a leading institution offering free cancer treatment to patients across southern Egypt.
Accompanied by Hatem Raslan, The Gambia’s Ambassador-at-Large in Egypt, and a delegation of Gambian officials, the First Lady’s presence highlights a growing spirit of African unity and cooperation in healthcare.
Governor Amara expressed deep appreciation for the initiative, noting that this visit not only supports vital health services for cancer patients, but also deepens the friendship and collaboration between Egypt and The Gambia.
