Egypt showcases tourism at TTG Travel Experience 2025 in Italy

Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities is participating in the 62nd edition of TTG Travel Experience 2025, one of Italy’s largest and most significant tourism exhibitions, currently taking place in the city of Rimini.

This high-profile event is a hallmark of Egypt’s commitment to engaging with the global travel industry and diversifying international tourism markets.

The Egyptian pavilion was inaugurated by Eng. Ahmed Youssef, Acting CEO of the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority, alongside Mr. Walid Osman, Egypt’s Consul in Milan, with the presence of Mr. Mohamed Fawzi, who oversees the Italian market at the Authority.

Eng. Youssef highlighted the importance of the Italian market, noting it is one of Egypt’s leading sources of tourists. The first half of this year saw a 49% increase in Italian visitors to Egypt compared to the same period last year.

“Our continuous participation in TTG Travel Experience reflects our commitment to connecting directly with industry partners, travel organizers, and decision-makers to share ideas and encourage even more Italian travelers to discover Egypt,” said Youssef.

During the exhibition, Youssef held a series of professional meetings with major tour operators, travel agency representatives, and media from the Italian market. Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation, promoting Egypt’s diverse destinations and tourism products, as well as understanding the latest trends in the Italian tourism sector.

The meetings also showcased Egypt’s new and emerging tourism offerings, including the North Coast, the newly developed New Alamein City, and the much-anticipated Grand Egyptian Museum, set to open its doors on November 1 this year.

Egypt’s stand at TTG Travel Experience spans 220 square meters, blending Pharaonic design with modern touches and featuring large screens for promotional films about Egypt’s rich and varied travel experiences. Additional advertising throughout the exhibition hall and Rimini’s train station further boosts Egypt’s visibility.

This year, the Egyptian delegation includes representatives from 12 tour companies and 13 hotel establishments, reflecting the robust interest and growing opportunities in Egyptian tourism among Italian and global partners.

TTG Travel Experience is Italy’s premier international tourism event, with over 70,000 visitors expected in 2025. The exhibition is organized by the Italian Exhibition Group, in partnership with Rimini’s local council, Italy's Ministry of Tourism, and the Italian Federation of Travel and Tourism Associations (Fiavet).

Through its participation, Egypt aims to attract international travelers by showcasing both its timeless heritage and its exciting new destinations to the world.
