Egypt to host first-ever Egypt-Saudi International Franchise Expo
Under the patronage of Egypt’s Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Egypt will host the first Egypt-Saudi International Franchise Exhibition at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in Cairo in April 2026. This major event aims to boost collaboration and trade between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, and support the growth of Arabic brands both regionally and globally.
The initiative is a collaboration between Egypt’s Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) and Franchise International Agency for Business Development, with support from Saudi Arabia’s Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at).
Basil Rahmi, CEO of MSMEDA, emphasized that franchise development is a strategic priority for Egypt. He highlighted the importance of equipping Egyptian brands for expansion and international franchise success, unlocking new opportunities in the Gulf and beyond.
A special accelerator program will prepare at least 30 emerging Egyptian brands, offering them technical and legal support to help them confidently expand in local and regional markets. The program is open to both new and existing businesses with ambitious growth plans.
The exhibition, which will welcome investors, brand owners, and experts from across Egypt and Saudi Arabia, is designed to create long-term strategic partnerships and share best practices from both countries’ franchise sectors.
Abeer Jaleeh, Chairperson of Franchise International Agency, welcomed the collaboration, emphasizing its role in building a thriving, interconnected Arab franchise market. She thanked all strategic partners, including MSMEDA, Monsha’at, and the Saudi Embassy in Cairo for their vital support in bringing this vision to life.
The exhibition marks a major step forward in fostering sustainable economic growth and supporting entrepreneurship across the region, providing a unique platform for brands, investors, and innovators to build the future—together.
