Egyptian superstar Amr Diab set to release new album ‘Ebtadena’

Beloved Egyptian singer and icon Amr Diab—affectionately known as “El Hadaba”—is preparing to release his highly anticipated new album, “Ebtadena,” in the first week of next month.

Excitement is building among fans after a promotional poster for the album was shared online by Diab’s official photographer, igniting social media buzz across the Arab world and beyond.

The announcement comes on the heels of a spectacular live performance Diab gave in mid-May at a major private university in Cairo, where thousands of students and fans packed the venue for an unforgettable musical celebration.

The night began with a touching short documentary chronicling Amr Diab’s remarkable career, sparking an enthusiastic response from the crowd, many of whom sang along to the familiar hits featured in the film. With energy high, Diab took to the stage to open with his much-loved song "Ya Ana Ya La," greeted by thunderous applause and cheers.

Expressing his happiness at performing for such a spirited audience, Diab reflected on his deep and enduring connection with university students, reminiscing about his early concerts when the campus was still based in Cairo’s iconic Tahrir Square.

Over the course of the evening, Diab treated the crowd to a mix of his biggest hits, including “Bahebbak,” “Enta Deh Law Insab,” “Tamally Ma’ak,” “Enta El Hazz,” and “Mabteghibsh.” He continued to delight longtime fans by returning to favorites from his earlier career, such as “Kan Tayeb,” “Ayyam W Ben’eeshha,” and “Khalaset Feek Kol El Kalam,” along with a surprise performance of the song “Baad El Layaly.”

The evening also featured a special medley of chart-toppers like “Wayah,” “Ragea,” “Amarain,” “Nour El Ain,” and “Leily Nahari.” The concert reached its emotional peak as Amr Diab closed the night with his classic song “W Ghalawetak” from the 1998 album “Awedony,” while a dazzling fireworks display lit up the New Cairo sky, making for a truly magical finale.

As anticipation for “Ebtadena” grows, fans from Egypt and across the region eagerly await the next chapter in Amr Diab’s legendary musical journey, celebrating a career that continues to unite generations through timeless melodies and unforgettable performances.
