Egyptian security forces have arrested two dangerous criminals in the south of the country for allegedly attempting to smuggle a significant quantity of unlicensed firearms, according to the Ministry of Interior.
Following a targeted operation, authorities confiscated 105 firearms, including 100 automatic rifles, a machine gun, and four pistols, as well as a large amount of ammunition. Officials estimate the value of the seized weapons at approximately 22 million Egyptian pounds (about $712,000 USD).
Legal procedures have been initiated against the suspects.
