Zamalek to retire No. 10 jersey in honor of club legend Shikabala
Cairo, Egypt – Egyptian football giant Zamalek SC has announced it will retire the iconic No. 10 jersey next season as a heartfelt tribute to Mahmoud Abdel-Razek ‘Shikabala’, who recently announced his retirement from professional football.
The decision, made by the club’s board, led by President Hussein Labib and Sporting Director John Edward, recognizes Shikabala’s remarkable legacy as one of Zamalek’s greatest ever players. Over his storied career, the legendary captain led his beloved club to an unprecedented 18 titles, making him the most decorated player in Zamalek’s history.
