Urgent evacuation notice Issued in Egypt's Menoufia governorate
The administration of Ashmoun City and Center in Menoufia Governorate, north of Cairo, has issued an urgent statement calling on all residents and farmers living on the lands along the Nile River to immediately evacuate those areas and the homes built on them.
This is due to the rising water levels in the Nile River branch, which may lead to the flooding of most of the riverbank lands and buildings along the waterway.
The city administration has emphasized that residents and farmers in the villages of Ashmoun Center, particularly those on the riverbank lands, must refrain from planting any crops at this time and promptly evacuate their homes and farms until the water levels stabilize.
This measure is to ensure the safety of lives and properties. All necessary precautions should be taken to address any emergencies.
