Over 400 aid trucks cross into Gaza as part of Egypt’s largest humanitarian convoy
In a remarkable demonstration of solidarity and care, the Egyptian Red Crescent announced on Wednesday the dispatch of its largest humanitarian convoy yet to Gaza. The 50th convoy, known as “Zad Al-Ezza: From Egypt to Gaza,” has sent more than 400 trucks carrying life-saving supplies across the border, marking a milestone in ongoing efforts to support the people of Gaza.
According to the Egyptian Red Crescent, the convoy contains around 9,700 tons of urgent aid. This includes over 5,700 tons of food parcels and flour to help address critical food shortages, more than 1,400 tons of essential medical and relief items desperately needed in the region’s hospitals and shelters, and approximately 2,500 tons of fuel to support vital infrastructure and emergency services.
The Egyptian Red Crescent, acting as the national coordinator for aid to Gaza, continues to play a central role in organizing and delivering support to Palestinian families facing extraordinary hardship.
This latest convoy highlights Egypt’s unwavering commitment to providing humanitarian relief and fostering hope for the people of Gaza during these challenging times. The international community is invited to join in recognizing the significance of such compassionate actions and to continue working together to ensure that lifesaving aid reaches those who need it most.
