Egypt and Poland FMs discuss bilateral ties
Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Expatriates Affairs, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, met with Poland's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Radosław Sikorski, on the sidelines of the Sir Bani Yas Forum on Sunday, December 14.
The meeting focused on ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Egypt and Poland. Minister Abdelatty emphasized the importance of building on the existing momentum in ties between the two countries, particularly by enhancing economic, trade, and investment cooperation to achieve mutual benefits for both peoples.
The two ministers also exchanged views on several regional and international issues. Key among them were developments in the Gaza Strip, where Minister Abdelatty reviewed Egypt's ongoing efforts to consolidate the ceasefire, ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid, and outline Egypt's vision for early recovery and reconstruction in the sector.
Discussions further addressed the situation in Sudan, with Minister Abdelatty stressing the need for an immediate ceasefire, preserving Sudan's unity, and supporting its national institutions.
On another note, the ministers touched on the latest developments in the Ukrainian crisis, where Minister Abdelatty reaffirmed support for diplomatic efforts aimed at reaching peaceful solutions that contribute to regional and international stability.
The Sir Bani Yas Forum, an annual high-level platform hosted in the UAE, brings together global leaders to discuss peace, security, and cooperation.
