Egypt welcomes improved travel guidance from US, UK
Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has warmly welcomed the United States’ recent decision to upgrade its travel advisory for Egypt to Level 2, aligning the country with destinations such as France and Germany. The ministry spokesperson described this as a notable and positive development.
Similarly, Egypt has applauded the United Kingdom’s updated travel guidance, which now places Egypt in the same advisory category (Level 2). In its announcement, the UK noted that nearly one million British tourists visit Egypt annually—a reflection of the country’s stable and secure environment.
These positive revisions to travel advice come as a result of ongoing efforts by Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its embassies, who have been actively engaging with international partners to encourage greater tourism to Egypt.
