Iran’s Khamenei warns Israel of harsh consequences
TEHRAN - Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, declared that the Iranian armed forces will inflict severe consequences on Israel, following what he described as a grave mistake by the Israeli government.
In a televised speech to the Iranian people on Friday, Khamenei said: “The Israeli entity has made a big mistake, a major slip, and a completely wrong step. The Iranian armed forces will respond strongly and put Israel in a dire situation. Israel will not escape punishment, and there will be no leniency in holding it accountable.”
Khamenei emphasized that the Iranian people would not ignore the killing of their citizens nor the violation of Iran’s airspace.
He reiterated that the armed forces are fully prepared and that the nation's leaders and citizens stand united in support.
