Egypt’s Investment Minister and Samsung officials explore new opportunities for growth

In a positive step towards strengthening international business relations, Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Hassan el Khatib, met with Wonkyong Kim, CEO of Samsung Egypt, to discuss new projects and expansion plans in the Egyptian market.

The meeting, which also included key officials from both the Ministry and Samsung, highlighted the thriving partnership between Egypt and one of the world’s technology leaders.

Minister Khatib praised Samsung’s ongoing progress and its valuable contributions to Egypt’s electronics sector—especially in creating jobs and advancing local manufacturing.

During the warm discussion, Minister Khatib emphasized the Egyptian government’s dedication to fostering a favorable business environment. He assured that Egypt is committed to making things easier for investors by providing incentives and support for companies looking to grow their operations in the country.

“Egypt aims to become a regional center for technological industries,” Khatib noted, pointing out the country’s prime geographical location and access to free trade agreements.

These advantages make Egypt an increasingly attractive destination for companies hoping to reach regional and international markets.

Wonkyong Kim, CEO of Samsung Egypt, expressed gratitude for the Egyptian government’s ongoing encouragement and support. He shared Samsung’s exciting plans to further expand its presence in Egypt and boost exports to neighboring and global markets.

This collaboration reflects Egypt’s openness to international investment and its vision for sustainable economic development, offering new opportunities for both local communities and global partners.
