Yokohama, Japan—During the Egyptian-Japanese Investment Forum, held in the presence of Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and several senior officials from both countries, Egypt and Japan announced the signing of 12 agreements and letters of intent across a wide range of strategic sectors.
These agreements, signed on the sidelines of the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9), are expected to generate significant investment returns and foster local production, value-addition, and stronger supply chains. They will also help develop exports and trade with neighboring markets.
The partnerships cover vital fields such as technical education, renewable energy, housing, infrastructure, tourism, industrial development, green economy, logistics, IT, and software development. Noteworthy agreements include cooperation between educational ministries, the private sector, and multinationals such as Toyota Tsusho, Yamaha Corporation, and Casio Middle East.
Key projects involve developing vocational skills for the Japanese job market, advancing green fuel infrastructure for ships in the Suez Economic Zone, introducing Japanese math curricula in Egyptian schools, and promoting sustainable hospitality services.
This milestone is the result of strong collaboration among government agencies, businesses, and stakeholders in both countries. The Egyptian government highlighted these agreements as a testament to deepening bilateral ties and unlocking new opportunities for growth and mutual prosperity.
