Indonesia sends new 24‑truck aid convoy to Gaza
Indonesia has dispatched a new humanitarian aid convoy to the Gaza Strip comprising 24 trucks carrying food, medical supplies and blankets, the Indonesian embassy in Cairo said on Monday.
Ambassador Kuncoro Waseso launched the convoy alongside members of the “Indonesia for Palestine” initiative, which organised the shipment. According to the delegation, the aid is valued at around 20 billion rupiah, or 1.1 million dollars, and weighs roughly 500 tons. It is expected to reach about 150,000 Palestinians in Gaza.
The group said the convoy reflects the Indonesian public’s “compassion and solidarity” with Palestinians amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
Waseso thanked the Indonesian humanitarian organisations that contributed to the shipment, including Al Khair Foundation, Lembaga Manajemen Infak, Rumah Zakat, Daarut Tauhid Peduli, Laju Peduli and Global Humanitarian Network.
He said Indonesia remains committed to supporting the Palestinian cause “until the Palestinian people achieve freedom and independence.”
Indonesia has been a regular provider of humanitarian relief to Gaza throughout the conflict. According to embassy data, Indonesian government bodies and 33 humanitarian organisations have delivered some 22.5 million dollars' worth of assistance via Egypt – about 2,580 tons – between October 7, 2023 and February 2026.
