Chinese embassy donates computers and printers to Egypt’s Journalists’ Syndicate
In a gesture that underlines the growing partnership between Egypt and China, a delegation from the Chinese Embassy in Cairo visited the Egyptian Journalists’ Syndicate on Sunday, presenting a gift of computers and printers in recognition of the organization’s role in the media sector.
The Chinese diplomatic team—led by Minister-Counsellor Mr. Guo Shaojun, Director-General of Media Ms. Du Ling, and Media Attaché Mr. Li Yishang—was warmly welcomed by the Syndicate’s President Mr. Khaled El-Balshy, Vice Presidents Hussein El-Zanati and Mahmoud Kamel, as well as senior journalist Dr. Ahmed Faris.
According to Mr. Hussein El-Zanati, First Vice President of the Syndicate, the embassy donated eight computers and ten printers as part of ongoing support and cooperation. This generous gesture followed a recent visit by the Chinese Ambassador to the Syndicate’s headquarters, during which he delivered a comprehensive lecture on China’s positions regarding international affairs and the robust bilateral relations between the two nations.
During the meeting, Syndicate President Mr. El-Balshy expressed the Syndicate’s appreciation for China’s continued cooperation and its strong stance on supporting the Palestinian cause and developing nations' aspirations for a multipolar world. “We welcome continued and constructive collaboration with our Chinese counterparts,” he added.
Minister-Counsellor Guo Shaojun, speaking on behalf of the Chinese delegation, conveyed his country’s appreciation for Egyptian journalists and their vital role in conveying the reality of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Egypt and China.
This visit and donation underscore the enduring friendship between China and Egypt and the commitment of both countries to further strengthen their people-to-people and media relations in the years ahead.
