Arab Civil Aviation Organization to build new headquarters in Rabat
Egypt’s civil aviation minister Sameh El-Hefny attended a ceremony marking the launch of construction of a new headquarters for the Arab Civil Aviation Organization in Rabat, Egypt’s civil aviation ministry said.
The ceremony took place on the sidelines of the Marrakech Air Show 2026 and was attended by Morocco’s transport and logistics minister, Abdessamad Kayouh, along with organization officials.
The project is fully funded by Morocco’s transport and logistics ministry. Morocco has hosted the organization’s headquarters since it was established in 1996.
El-Hefny, who chairs the organization’s current general assembly session, said the new headquarters would strengthen its institutional capacity and support cooperation and coordination among Arab states on civil aviation.
The planned building will include administrative and technical offices, meeting rooms and facilities for official gatherings and visiting delegations, the ministry said.
