Indian ambassador celebrates Egyptian students’ achievement in classical dance
Cairo – In a vibrant celebration of cultural exchange, Indian Ambassador Suresh K. Reddy awarded certificates to Egyptian students who completed multiple levels of Kathak dance training at the Maulana Azad Cultural Centre.
Ambassador Reddy highlighted Kathak’s growing popularity in Egypt, noting that the dance programme—launched by the Centre in 2022—has flourished, with over 100 Egyptian trainees completing advanced levels in just three years. He praised the artistic excellence and dedication of the Egyptian performers, and commended their deepening interest in Indian culture.
The event underscored the positive impact of cultural outreach and the blossoming friendship between India and Egypt through the shared language of the arts.
