Egypt secures 2 gold and 1 bronze at U15 Men’s Modern Pentathlon World Championship
Egypt delivered an outstanding performance at the U15 Men’s Modern Pentathlon World Championship, held from August 13 to 17, 2025, at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport in Alexandria. The host nation claimed three medals in the men’s finals, including two golds and one bronze, showcasing its rising dominance in the sport.
Adam Shukri, a standout athlete from Egypt’s national team, clinched the gold medal in the men’s individual event, demonstrating exceptional skill across the five disciplines: fencing, swimming, obstacle racing, shooting, and running. His teammate, Mark Labib, secured the bronze medal in the same event, further highlighting Egypt’s depth of talent.
In the team competition, the Egyptian trio of Adam Shukri, Mark Labib, and Mohanad Khedr capped off a remarkable showing by winning the gold medal, solidifying Egypt’s position as a powerhouse in youth modern pentathlon.
The championship, hosted in Alexandria, brought together top young athletes from around the world, competing in the newly formatted modern pentathlon, which includes obstacle racing as a replacement for equestrian events following the 2024 Paris Olympics.
