Egypt, Saudi Arabia explore closer ties in scientific research
Egypt’s Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Ayman Ashour, met with Saudi Ambassador to Egypt, Mr. Saleh bin Eid Al-Hussaini, to discuss new opportunities for expanding collaboration between the two countries in higher education and scientific research.
During the meeting, Dr. Ashour highlighted the longstanding relationship between Egypt and Saudi Arabia and emphasized Egypt’s commitment to deepening cooperation in education, technology, and innovation. He noted the remarkable growth of Egypt’s higher education sector and expressed eagerness to establish new partnerships with Saudi institutions, focusing on modern academic disciplines that align with global trends and the needs of today’s job markets.
The discussion included strategies for joint academic programs, faculty exchanges, and the development of dual-degree initiatives. Dr. Ashour also described Egypt’s efforts to position itself as an attractive educational destination for international students, supported by continuous improvements in infrastructure and academic offerings.
