EgyptAir crowned “Best Airline in Africa for Passenger Service” at 2025 Paris Air Show
EgyptAir, Egypt’s national carrier, has been awarded the title of “Best Airline in Africa for Passenger Services” for 2025 by leading global aviation rating organization Skytrax.
The prestigious accolade was presented during a special ceremony at the 55th Paris Air Show, with Egypt’s Minister of Civil Aviation, Dr. Sameh El-Hefny, EgyptAir Holding Chairman Captain Ahmed Adel, and EgyptAir Airlines Chairman Captain Mohamed Alyan in attendance.
Skytrax, renowned for its comprehensive and rigorous evaluation of airlines based on passenger experiences and service quality, also ranked EgyptAir as the 68th best airline worldwide—an impressive leap of 20 places compared to last year.
Dr. El-Hefny celebrated the achievement, describing it as a testament to the remarkable progress in Egypt’s civil aviation sector and EgyptAir’s dedication to enhancing travel experiences. He expressed pride in the teamwork and professionalism across all service areas—on the ground and in the air—highlighting Egypt’s emerging leadership in regional aviation.
Captain Adel emphasized that this new international milestone underscores EgyptAir’s regional and continental leadership, as well as growing customer satisfaction. He noted that EgyptAir’s recent investments—ranging from state-of-the-art aircraft and upgraded amenities, to seamless travel from booking to baggage reclaim—have focused on providing maximum comfort and safety in line with the latest global standards.
Captain Alyan further noted that the Skytrax rating reflects EgyptAir’s unwavering commitment to global service excellence, achieved through continuous staff training, innovation, and a one-team spirit. EgyptAir was also recognized in this assessment for having Africa’s most improved airline, offering the best in-flight meals for economy class in Africa, and maintaining some of the continent’s best flight and cabin crew.
Skytrax’s annual rating covers over 360 airlines worldwide, rigorously assessing them against more than 800 criteria, including on-board service, ground facilities, punctuality, and customer experience. This year’s recognition not only sets a new high for Egypt’s aviation industry, but warmly welcomes international travelers to experience EgyptAir’s world-class service on their journeys—whether to, from, or via the heart of Africa.
For Egypt’s flag carrier, this award is more than recognition—it is a promise to keep raising the bar, with travelers always at the heart of its mission.
