Egypt, Germany explore new avenues for civil aviation partnership
Egypt’s Minister of Civil Aviation, Dr. Samy Hafny, welcomed German Ambassador Jörg Schulz and his delegation for talks at the Ministry’s headquarters.
The discussions centered on further strengthening collaboration in the civil aviation sector, especially in areas such as airport infrastructure development, technical training, and sharing expertise.
Dr. Hafny expressed Egypt’s commitment to forming partnerships with private and international actors, aiming to enhance the efficiency and quality of Egypt’s airports in line with global best practices. He highlighted Egypt’s openness to foreign investment and its determination to provide advanced services and operations in the aviation sector.
Ambassador Schulz reaffirmed Germany’s view of Egypt as a strategic partner in the Middle East and voiced keen interest from major German companies in expanding investments in Egypt’s civil aviation industry, particularly in airport modernization projects.
Both sides agreed to continue fostering technical cooperation, exchange knowledge, and promote sustainable growth, reinforcing Egypt’s position as a leading regional hub for air transport.
