Egypt signs strategic MoU with Hyatt to boost tourism and investment

Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly attended the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding between Egypt’s ADD Real Estate Development (part of Sami Saad Holding Group) and global hospitality giant Hyatt Hotels, witnessed by Tourism and Antiquities Minister Sherif Fathy.

The agreement aims to expand Egypt’s hotel capacity to accommodate the expected growth in tourist arrivals, through investments in internationally branded hotels and residential units in key locations.

The investment plan, supported by an international financial institution, is valued at $265 million and will focus on developing new hotel rooms and branded serviced apartments.

Prime Minister Madbouly welcomed the partnership as a step towards strengthening Egypt’s position as a leading global investment and tourism destination, and highlighted the importance of collaboration between local and international private sectors.

Tourism Minister Fathy emphasized that the agreement reflects global confidence in Egypt’s economy and its rapidly growing tourism sector. The Ministry expressed full support for high-quality investments that combine global standards with Egypt’s unique character, aiming to deliver innovative hospitality experiences and showcase Egyptian culture.

ADD Real Estate has previously partnered with Hyatt to open Hyatt Regency Cairo West in 2022 and the art-themed Hyatt Centric Cairo West, the first of its kind in Egypt and Africa, further cementing Egypt’s appeal as a destination for international hospitality brands.
