Alamein, Egypt – In a significant step toward regional stability and recovery, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Sudan’s Sovereign Council Chairman, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, met on Sunday evening in the northern city of Alamein, placing Sudan’s reconstruction and future cooperation at the heart of their talks.
Both leaders explored ways to accelerate Sudan’s rebuilding process and to open new horizons for joint economic projects. The discussions reflected the hopes of the Egyptian and Sudanese peoples for mutual development and closer partnership, especially as Sudan faces immense challenges caused by ongoing conflict.
According to Egypt’s Presidential Spokesperson, President El-Sisi reaffirmed his country’s unwavering support for Sudan’s sovereignty, unity, and stability. He emphasized Egypt’s readiness to make every possible effort to provide meaningful assistance to the Sudanese people during this difficult time.
The two sides also reviewed efforts to enhance bilateral relations, underlining a shared commitment to help alleviate the severe humanitarian crisis in Sudan and bring real relief to those affected by the conflict.
