Egypt’s new ambassador presents credentials to Japan’s Emperor
Egypt’s new Ambassador to Japan, Mr. Ragy El-Etreby, officially presented his credentials to His Majesty Emperor Naruhito at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo during a formal ceremony.
In his meeting with Emperor Naruhito, Ambassador El-Etreby conveyed greetings from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and expressed Egypt’s strong commitment to advancing its strategic partnership with Japan. He emphasized the importance of collaboration across political, economic, cultural, and educational fields, highlighting the upcoming official opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum as a symbol of this inspiring cooperation.
Following the ceremony, Ambassador El-Etreby shared his government’s directive to further deepen and expand Egypt-Japan relations. He noted the significant achievements of past cooperation and pointed to promising opportunities for the future, especially in attracting Japanese investment, expanding trade, encouraging tourism, and strengthening educational, technological, and cultural ties. The ambassador affirmed his dedication to fostering these shared interests and aspirations for the benefit of both nations and their people.
