Sokhna Port welcomes AROYA cruise with 2,300 tourists

The Suez Canal Economic Zone Authority has announced the arrival of the Maltese cruise ship "AROYA" at Sokhna Port this morning. The ship arrived from Safaga Port at 8 a.m., carrying 2,351 tourists from various countries, along with a crew of 1,500.

The AROYA is 303 meters long and has a draft of 8.5 meters. It is scheduled to depart for Jeddah on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.

This visit is part of ongoing efforts to promote maritime tourism at the ports of the Suez Canal Economic Zone. The region aims to become a leading center for tourism, marine services, and logistics, thanks to its strategic location on the Red and Mediterranean Seas and continued port development.

The cruise ship’s arrival also takes place during the Eid al-Adha holiday, highlighting the port’s readiness and efficient operations—even during peak times and important celebrations.
