Bayern Munich star Musiala sidelined for four months with leg fracture
French sports network RMC Sport reported on Sunday that Bayern Munich and Germany international midfielder Jamal Musiala will be out of action for approximately four months after suffering a broken fibula during his side’s FIFA Club World Cup quarter-final clash against Paris Saint-Germain.
Musiala sustained the injury following a collision with PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, forcing him to leave the field on a stretcher just before halftime. He subsequently underwent medical examinations which confirmed the fracture.
The talented 21-year-old is set to undergo surgery upon his return to Munich. The injury comes as a significant blow to both Musiala and Bayern Munich as the team heads into the crucial stages of the season.
