Egypt’s PM meets Siemens executives to bolster energy cooperation

Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly met with top executives from German industrial giant Siemens to discuss ways to enhance collaboration, particularly in the energy and infrastructure sectors.

The meeting took place at the New Administrative Capital, with key ministers and Siemens representatives in attendance.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Madbouly expressed his appreciation for Siemens as a strategic partner, highlighting the role the company has played in stabilizing Egypt’s electricity sector through three major power stations. He also noted Siemens’ involvement in Egypt’s high-speed electric train project.

Siemens executives reaffirmed their commitment to the Egyptian market, emphasizing that stations built by Siemens supply up to 42% of the country’s electricity needs during winter. Both sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in ongoing and future projects, with a shared focus on efficiency and sustainability.

This partnership is a key step in supporting Egypt’s efforts to improve energy infrastructure and expand renewable and sustainable energy solutions.
