Egypt's new ambassador presents credentials to Malawi’s President
Lilongwe, Malawi – Egypt’s new ambassador to Malawi, H.E. Rasha Hamdy, officially presented her credentials to H.E. President Lazarus Chakwera during a formal ceremony held at the presidential palace in Lilongwe, the capital of Malawi, on Monday.
During the ceremony, President Chakwera warmly welcomed Ambassador Hamdy and expressed his best wishes for her tenure. He praised Egypt’s longstanding support for African nations and highlighted Egyptian successes, particularly in infrastructure development. President Chakwera also reiterated Malawi’s readiness to foster closer cooperation in various fields.
In response, Ambassador Hamdy conveyed greetings from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and shared his wishes for continued prosperity and progress for the people and government of Malawi. She emphasized the strong and enduring partnership between Egypt and Malawi, reaffirming Egypt’s commitment to advancing collaboration in key sectors, including health, agriculture, and infrastructure.
Both sides expressed optimism about deepening their bilateral relationship and working together for the mutual benefit of their countries and Africa as a whole.
