Egypt maintains normal air traffic despite regional disruptions

Due to temporary closures of some regional airspaces, five Jordanian airline flights were diverted this morning to Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport.

All five flights have since departed safely to their original destinations after necessary safety and operational procedures were completed, according to a statement by the Ministry of Civil Aviation.

Meanwhile, EgyptAir has canceled its flights today to Erbil, Baghdad, Amman, and Beirut until those airspaces reopen and normal flight operations can resume.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation confirmed that air traffic in Egyptian airspace and airports remains normal.

The situation is being closely monitored through central operations and crisis management rooms, in coordination with all relevant Egyptian and international authorities. The Ministry will continue to provide updates as the regional situation develops.
