Egypt and Kazakhstan explore enhanced youth and sports cooperation
Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Egypt’s Minister of Youth and Sports, met with Mr. Zhenis Askar Zhenisuly, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Egypt, to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation in the fields of youth and sports. The meeting took place at the Ministry’s headquarters in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital.
According to an official statement, Dr. Sobhy emphasized Egypt’s commitment to expanding partnerships with friendly nations, particularly through youth exchange programs and sporting events. Notably, discussions included plans to facilitate mutual visits for sports federations, exchange delegations in various sports—especially boxing, and organize joint exhibitions to showcase and promote handicrafts and traditional products made by young people from both countries.
The Kazakh ambassador praised the significant progress Egypt has made in developing its youth and sports sectors, expressing Kazakhstan’s keen interest in deepening collaboration. He highlighted opportunities for sharing expertise and jointly hosting cultural and sporting events, fostering greater ties between the people of Egypt and Kazakhstan.
The talks reflect the two nations’ ongoing commitment to strengthening international partnerships and promoting cultural understanding through youth and sports initiatives.
